Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Here at St. Hugo's we have available Eucharistic Adoration seven days each week. We invite you to treat yourself and Our Dear Lord to one extra hour together each week.

bullet

Why spend one hour each week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament?

bullet

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

bullet

Is there stress at work and/or at home?

bullet

Are you finding the choices you are faced with difficult and confusing?

bullet

Are you concerned about the choices your children are making?

"Cast all of your anxieties upon the Lord, who cares for you." "Come to Me all of you who are weary and find life burden some and l will refresh you..." (1Pt 5:7-5; Mt 11:28). Each hour you spend with Jesus will deepen His Divine Peace within your heart.

Volunteers, using the honor system, commit to spending one hour, at the same time each week, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament reserved in the Tabernacle.  This personal worship of the Eucharist during a holy hour draws us into a deeper appreciation of Christ's Presence and helps us grow in a more loving relationship with the Lord.  In the climate of the Eucharist, a most special place for prayer, scheduled adorers and those making visits, express ongoing prayers of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition.

The daily schedule depends upon the participation of many adorers and the availability of the Chapel.  The program is structured in an attempt to have a continuous presence of adorers whenever the Chapel is open.  At certain times, circumstances may require that we use the Main Church.

The best time you spend on earth is with your Best Friend, Jesus. With transforming mercy, Jesus makes our heart one with His. We welcome your participation.  To inquire about our adoration program or to make a commitment, please call an Adoration Committee member at 333-2785.

"How great is the value of converse with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, for there is nothing more consoling on earth, nothing more efficacious for advancing along the road to holiness!" (Pope Paul VI

"Jesus teaches those who come to Him to be like Himself, gentle and humble of heart, and to seek not their own will, but the will of God." (Pope John Paul II)

Eucharistic Adoration
There is a group of parishioners who pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament every day. Individuals take an hour a week to spend in prayer in the Stone Church. They spend time in adoration. They pray for their personal intentions, the parish, and the church throughout the world.  Those who carry out this most important ministry are the first to tell you that they receive far more than they ever give.

We invite you to join this group of dedicated people. To ask questions, please call Mary Ellen at 248-253-1413. Make an investment in the present and the future. Spend an hour before the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel. We are looking for additional adorers for all of the hours so if you are interested signing up for an hour please call: Joan Cooney (248-288-6318) or David Hathaway (248-333-1639).
