On Eucharistic Ministry
Communion to the Sick
Sacristans in Need

The Eucharistic Minister program at St. Hugo's involves approximately 200 lay ministers who assist in the distribution of Communion at all of our Sunday liturgies and holy days. Participation in this ministry offers the individual ministers a very special means of participating in the Mass. We are always very eager to welcome new ministers to our ranks. For further information, please contact Beatrice & Bob Conklin at (248) 334-2722.

Eucharistic Ministers Training Class
On November 15 at 11:00 AM, a training class will be held in the church for those who wish to become Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist at St. Hugo's. This beautiful ministry offers us an unusual opportunity to participate in the Mass liturgy. If you indicated an interest in being a Eucharistic Minister on Commitment Sunday, please plan to attend. Any parishioner who wishes to become a Eucharistic Minister at St. Hugo's must attend a training class. We hope to see many new faces on November 15th seeking ways to serve Him. Ministry of Love
Sr. Lucille Smalley needs Eucharistic Ministers to bring Holy Communion to patients at Bloomfield Hills Nursing Center on Sunday mornings after 8:00 a.m. Mass, Woodward Hills Nursing Center on Monday mornings after the 8:30 a.m. Mass, and to the home-bound parish members on Fridays. This is an important ministry and the need is urgent. Please call the parish office at (248) 644-5460 if you can help out.

EME’s Please Note...
When taking the Holy Eucharist to the homebound, hospital, prison, etc., please use a PYX in which to carry the Sacred Host. This container, the PYX, can be obtained in the parish office. Please return the PYX at your earliest convenience. It is highly improper to carry the Sacred Host in a tissue, paper towel paper cup, your hand, etc. We must show reverence for the Holy Eucharist.

Please be watchful at Mass for those folks unable to walk up to receive the Eucharist. Make every effort to distribute Communion to these persons before you begin general distribution.
