Christian Meditation
The practice of Christian meditation, faithful to the ancient tradition of the Church, is another way that fulfills the Christian prayer vocation. There is only one prayer, the stream of love between the spirit of the Risen Jesus and the Father. It is in this prayer of Christ we engage in, when we meditate. This form of silent, imageless, contemplative prayer, using a scriptural prayer-word or mantra is rooted in the Gospel, the letters of st. Paul, and originated with the early desert fathers and mothers of the fourth century.

Everybody is welcome, those who are beginning in meditation and those with experience at St. Hugo of the Hills Church Parish Library on Monday mornings, 10:00-11:15am through June 30, 2008 (No Sessions on: Sept. 3, Dec. 24, 31, Mar. 24, May 26). Reading materials will be available to borrow or for purchase. For more information, click here. Sponsored by St. Hugo of the Hills Adult Faith Formation
