Become More Involved in the Liturgy:
Become a Sacristan
St Hugo needs parishners who are
interested in assisting our Priests/Celebrants in ensuring that our
various masses, Funeral, Wedding, Special Feast Days, and weekends are
properly managed. The way you do that is by becoming a Sacristan. (more)
Baby-lovin’
Volunteers Needed
Can you spare a bit of time to join our volunteers who conduct
Baptism Preparation Class once a month? The time commitment
would mean helping to conduct the class possibly every other

Child
Care: Christian's Place
Our parish children are a vital part
of our community and future. They are special to God and need to be
accepted and loved at all times. These children can enjoy spiritual fun
and friendship in a safe and loving environment. It's a child care
cooperative in which parents actively participate in the staffing of the
room. If you love working with children and would be interested in

Coffee & Donuts Committee
Are
you interested in Becoming Active at St. Hugo, as a Family, a couple or
individual? Your parish family needs you for fellowship and service.
Join our Coffee and Donut Committee. Workers are needed to set up and
serve coffee and donuts on Sundays. Teenage students can earn credit hours for service.
This is a great opportunity for students and parents alike. Help yourself and
members of this community. Follow Christ’s example of service to others. We do

Eucharistic
Ministry
The Eucharistic Minister program at St. Hugo's involves
approximately 200 lay ministers who assist in the distribution of
Communion at all of our Sunday liturgies and holy days. Participation in
this ministry offers the individual ministers a very special means of
participating in the Mass. All
who wish to participate in this beautiful ministry, the Eucharistic Ministry Program
(EME) welcomes you in ministering the Eucharistic body and
blood of Christ during the Communion Rite of the Liturgy. (more)

Life Ministry Program
The Family Life Committee seeks to provide for the needs of individual
families within the larger parish family of St. Hugo of the Hills
Parish. Do you have a desire to see your family grow in its faith in the
Lord? Do you feel called to share your talents in our parish? Do you
have ideas for faith-filled family activities? Then join us; all are

the Evangelization Committee
All parishioners at St. Hugo’s are called to evangelize. We have an
Evangelization Committee to give us direction, and establish
evangelization norms and strategies for the parish. If you would like to
be part of this committee, please contact Bob Williams at the parish
office (644-5460), to learn more about the work of this committee, and
to determine your interest in becoming a member.
Ladies
of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul
The Food Pantry receives many requests every week from
people needing food. We rely on your generosity to help us respond to
them. If you prefer to donate cash, please drop your check in the
collection basket made out to the Ladies of Charity, noting on the memo
line that it is for the Hunger Barrel.

Office Assistants
The parish office is always in need of volunteers. We need some
dedicated people willing to give some time to help with big mailings and
stuffing Heralds! Please
consider assisting. Other areas of help: answering telephones, making phone calls, and general assistance. If interested, please call

Team Center Volunteers
The Team Center is a cooperative effort of
congregations in the greater Birmingham / Bloomfield area to give
assistance to persons in our community with emergency needs. It is
staffed by volunteers from the area congregations. Volunteers typically
work in two-hour shifts once a week Others are needed as substitutes.
Training is provided and new volunteers work with those who have more
experience and alongside the TEAM Coordinator. If interested, call (248)

Youth Ministry Mentors
The Mid-Hi and
Hi-School Youth Groups are looking for mentors who will guide and
help them grow in Christ's love. It is a year's commitment that promises
to be fulfilling to both of you and both will grow from the experience.
It will take a desire to want to make a difference in their lives. If
