Catholic Services Appeal 2025

If we meet our CSA goal, any overages will go towards the cleaning of the Stone Chapel walls!

May 12, 2025
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Catholic Services Appeal is a wonderful story of blessings. It is a story about the Church in southeastern Michigan in which each one of us has a part to play. It is a local story of how the people of God have built this local Church up to where it is now.
The CSA over the years have touched our lives and have strengthened our faith through the many ministries that the appeal supports. The theme for the 2025 Appeal is “Do you love me? Feed my sheep.” The theme reminds us that Jesus’ love for us is transformative and calls us to into action, to feed others with what God has given us.
I invite you to reflect on God’s many gifts that are showered upon us each day of our lives: the gift of Jesus, Mary, the Mother of God, the communion of Saints, and faith in the One He sent. Your past gifts to the Catholic Services Appeal have already made a profound difference in the lives of many.
Like all parishes in the archdiocese, we benefit from the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) in so many ways. In his enclosed letter, our newly appointed Chief Shepherd, Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger, describes the importance of CSA in the life of the local Church. The CSA brochure further details all the valuable ministries, programs, and services that allow us to open doors so we can witness Christ to our friends and neighbors. This years' CSA parish goal is $341,154. If we do not meet the target, the shortfall will be taken from our offertory donations.
Our parish’s CSA goal funds so many vital programs. Our donations to the CSA have provided a means to reach out and minister not only to the faithful of our Archdiocese but also to our neighbors who are poor and vulnerable. If we exceed our target by 9% ($31,000) we will be able to repair and clean the chapel walls previously damaged by water infiltration. The source of the leaks were repaired last summer with funding coming from the parish.
The CSA appeal process begins during the season of Easter when all Catholics renew their baptismal promises and the Feast of Pentecost when we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon our Church to fulfill our baptismal call to discipleship.
If we all attempt to carry our share of the monetary responsibility, we will be successful in our endeavor. Thank you for your past generosity and for considering renewing your support this year. I am profoundly grateful!
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Mark Brauer
