Mission & Purpose:
To provide St. Hugo families who experience financial hardship with the opportunity to access and continue a well-rounded Catholic education.
Process and Guidelines:
1. It is a needs-based program; financial need must be proven based on information provided in the Tuition Angels grant application.
2. To qualify for the Tuition Angels Program, families must have applied to the AOD FACTs program between December 2024 to March 2025 or have experienced a significant, unexpected financial setback within the last 12 months.
Please note that if you already applied for FACTS during the above time period, you will NOT be required to submit any additional financial information beyond what this form requests.
However, if you did NOT already apply for FACTS during the above time period, you will be required to submit your tax statement form from 2024 along with your application in order to qualify for SMTA aid.
3. Grants are based on applications submitted per semester. Grants are NOT a way to help those who are not paying their tuition bills. They are also not permanent for the duration of the student’s (or family’s) attendance at St. Hugo School.
4. The amount of the grant will be discretionary based on: Tuition Angels funds available, magnitude of the specific financial hardship and family situation, number of other past applications submitted, other scholarships/grants applied for (and granted) by the family, and other factors (i.e. volunteer hours).
How to Apply:
Families who are interested in applying to this program may submit their application along with any necessary documentation to Mr. Anthony Bokshan in the parish office via
- Email: tuition@sthugo.org (to return the APPLICATION FORM or for question)
- Mail: 2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304 with attention to Anthony Bokshan
- Drop off to the parish office front desk in an envelope with attention to Anthony Bokshan.
Applications are due by Monday, November 10th, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Parish and School is committed to making Catholic education accessible to any family who wishes to pursue it. The mission of Sr. Margaret’s Tuition Angels Fund is to help break down financial obstacles for those families who seek assistance.
Last year, due to the generosity of our parishioners and school families, we were able to help several families who encountered financial hardship due to loss of income, illness, or the loss of a parent, which created challenges in keeping their children enrolled in St Hugo Catholic School.
Applications for the Sr. Margaret’s Tuition Angels are now being accepted for families who wish to apply. We humbly request you continue to support our families who need assistance while pursuing a catholic education here at St. Hugo of the Hills.
